FAQ + Aftercare
if you’re ready to move forward with your design, or have any questions, click below to get in touch with me!
General …
I work out of Valiant Tattoo, a private studio outside of Koreatown, in Los Angeles
Generally I work in the studio Wednesday through Saturday, from 11am-6pm, but can come in other days/times, pending station availability!
I book about two months at a time, and every request will get an email response
Flash & Customs
Unless specified otherwise, all flash is non-repeatable
If a flash you like has already been claimed, I’m happy to design a custom piece in a similar vein
When you’re requesting a custom design, please be as specific as possible in your description! I love photos or drawn mood boards, and if there’s something that you particularly like about my style that you’d like me to incorporate, please let me know :o)
I will show you your design on the day of your appointment! If you’d like any revisions, we can work on it together at your appointment.
Pricing
I have recently moved to an hourly pricing model, and charge the following:
$100 per hour for flash
$125 per hour for customs
My rate does not include time spent revising the design, placing the stencil, or taking breaks
This covers the time spent actually tattooing, as well as time designing, material costs, skill, and care that go into each piece. Tattoos are pieces of art that you have forever, so please keep that in mind when booking!
I’ll send you a range of quotes when I email you; regardless of the time we actually spend on the tattoo, your tattoo will not cost over the high end of what I initially quoted you.
My average quote for a 3-4” tattoo is about 2-3 hours, or approximately between $200 and $300
Deposit & Payments
When I email you, I will send you a link directly to my booking form, where you’ll choose a date and time that works best for your appointment
When you book through this, a $100 non-refundable deposit will be collected, which goes towards the total cost of your tattoo
You pay the balance at the end of your appointment, and can do so via cash, Zelle, Venmo, or PayPal
Tips are deeply appreciated but not required (non-traditional tips such as gifts or food are great too! (i am however a lactose intolerant girlie))
Rescheduling & Cancellations
If you need to reschedule, please contact me at lembas.club@gmail.com within 7 days of your appointment, to avoid losing your deposit
Please make sure to arrive on time! Clients who arrive over 30 minutes late to their appointment will forfeit their deposit and require a new one to reschedule
If I need to reschedule your appointment for any reason, you will not lose your deposit
Touch-ups!
Touch ups on healed tattoos are completely normal and free :o)
Reply to our email chain with a healed photo of your tattoo so I can book the appropriate amount of time required for your touch up
Before & After Your Appointment
Preparing beforehand
try to start gently exfoliating and moisturizing the area you’d like tattooed about a week before our appointment.
you do not need to shave the area beforehand unless you want to; i will shave the area at the appointment regardless.
come sober and un-sunburnt!
leave enough time to to find street parking near the studio (usually it isn’t too bad, however there is street cleaning on monday & tuesday)
please remember to eat something substantial and hydrate before your appointment! we do also have plenty of snacks at the studio and a coffee shop next door
you’ll need a government-issued ID and your phone to fill out our consent form!
Aftercare (& forever)
you will need unscented antibacterial soap and unscented lotion (like Jergens, Vanicream, etc.)
remove your first bandage after 24 hours, wash with soap and pat dry with a clean paper towel
remember to only touch your tattoo with clean hands!
there may be blood, ink, and/or plasma under the bandage; this is normal and generally expected
apply the second bandage, and remove it in the same manner after 4-5 days, washing again and patting dry with a paper towel
apply unscented lotion to the tattooed area daily for at least the next two weeks
moisturizer is your friend for the rest of linear time; it will help keep your tattoos looking fresh :o)
you will also receive a lengthy aftercare email from the studio that goes into more detail!
